One of the highlights of our year is the Chapter Retreat - a special time to deepen our relationships, build our understanding of each others' businesses, and explore a topic of interest to the group. The retreat starts with dinner on Sunday night, a full-day workshop on Monday, and continues on Tuesday until noon. In our October meeting, the group suggested Palm Springs as a warmer, and yet easy to get to location.
We are still working on the content and speakers for the retreat. In previous years, we've focused on business exit planning, operations, and marketing. This year, we are looking into speakers focused on business scaling, sales, and also WPO members and alumni who can share their successes and lessons learned. Let me know if you'd like to join the planning team. Now is the time to share your ideas and help shape this year's program.
This year the retreat will be held at the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs resort. Special thanks to Molly who took the lead in researching hotels and negotiating a group rate for us. The chapter will cover the costs of the meeting venue, speakers, and meals. Each person is responsible for their hotel room and travel. We have a limited block of rooms so best to reserve early so we can increase our room commitment as needed.
