WPO '24 Retreat Committee Would Like Your Input!
April 17, 2024 8:16 PM
Hi All! Your 2024 Retreat Committee would value your input on the following questions:
What is your travel time preference for the Retreat? (ie: up to 2 hrs; up to 3 hrs; more?)
The timeline for our past two retreats has been about 24 hrs (including one overnight). Does this timeframe work well for you? Would you like the Retreat Committee to consider more or less time for '24?
The past two Retreats had a price point per member of between $500 and $700. Is this a good price point in '24? Would you be willing to spend more or prefer less?
Are there any specific topics that you would like the Retreat Committee to consider for this year's Retreat?
Any additional comments?

ANS: Up to 2 hrs

ANS: Ok with one overnight

ANS: This is a good price point
Are there any specific topics that you would like the Retreat Committee to consider for this year's Retreat?
ANS: panel discussion (Katie, Kathy, Janice) about business transitions, discussion on how members might be using AI in their business.
Any additional comments?
ANS: An excursion/ tour at the location - e.g. historical tours of Gettysburg battlefield, winery tour etc.
Up to 2 hours is ok
Timeframe is good for me
Pricepoint is good
Love learning about new areas/also love the spa and/or golfing/boating/water sports/pickelball
Thank you! Heather
I think that the $500.00 to $700.00 price point is good and 2-3 hour distance works . Holly had suggested a resort in the Poconos that sounded really lovely. Also, New Hope would be a possibility as well. Lots of great restaurants and shops. If everyone is willing to venture 3 hours then the Hyatt Cambridge MD is incredible. Has swimming, golf, tennis, boating. Cambridge is charming but St Michaels is 30 minutes away with fantastic restaurants and shops
Up to 2 hours.
1 overnight, esp in Oct.
Pricepoint seemed good.
Doing something together beyond a meeting would be great.
Topics..??Not sure. Maybe Clifton Strengthfinder, a focused biz topic (sorry, no suggestions come to mind.)
Travel time of up to 2 hours worked well.
One overnight works well. Blocking all day Monday and Tuesday works.
Price point of $500 - $700 is reasonable.
For the retreat, I enjoy more the time at dinner, cocktail hour, paired or small group break-outs, focused discussions, "getting to know you" activities (we have several new members), etc. A topic around persuasion/negotiation or the art of persuasive storytelling.
Travel Timeline: Around 2 hours is fine
One overnight works well
Price point $500-$700 is good
Interested in learning anything new. How to be a better leader, etc.
I think an excursion, activity, spa time or something social like this would be fun to include.
Thanks, everyone for your input! It will be shared with your Retreat Committee on Wednesday, May 1st!
I'm good with 2-3 hours. If it's farther than 2 hours away and we want to have more time for an activity like spa or otherwise, we may want to plan on an earlier start than noon on Monday. I'm good with $500-750 price point.
