As an Executive Coach and leader of several CEO Peer Groups in the Bay Area, I see a common pattern in driven CEO's. They eventually hit a immovable wall of burnout and lack of motivation, usually after achieving some degree of success. One female CEO had achieved her revenue numbers faster than she expected, had hired and delegated all of her non strategic tasks, including family dinners and now found herself depressed, burned out, and exhausted. What happened? What built her company was now quitely breaking her life. She had been programmed to achieve at all costs like so many of us from early childhood survival skills and did not know how to show up any other way. Achievement was no longer the dopamine it used to be, and she had also removed herself from every intimate and personal part of her life through hiring help and or delegating. I recognized it right away...because I have been there too. Time for a Reset. Time to recognize that she needed to find another way to matter and to find what makes her Feel Joyful. It is an internal feeling not an external validation! There is a difference. Where are you on this journey?
