Follow-up from June 24 Meeting

Hi everyone,

Tonight's meeting exemplified the value gained when we come together - in good times, in bad times, and in between - to connect, share insights, and experience the power of a network of strong, committed leaders, and women. We delved into a candid sharing of leadership, business, and personal challenges. We identified "gems" from recent leadership events, including the May meeting with Fiona Ma, and the WPO EEF in Colorado Springs. We prioritized challenges that we'd like to bring to the group in coming months, and contributed to a roundtable focused on recruitment and culture-building.

A continued theme is how to balance focus on the day-to-day with longer-term strategies, and how to get the right people and processes in place to optimize your businesses. We also need to be nimble to respond to immediate priorities in the group. I'll continue to experiment with ways to balance both of these in upcoming meetings by identifying one strategic and one real-time topic for our discussions. One topic for July will be focused on Sales (Barbara), and in August, Implementing Change (Tanis). We'll add real-time topics as well.

For those who are interested in hearing more about The Fly Wheel concept presented at the EEF by Jim Collins, you can purchase a short summary on Amazon, or an Audible recording. In these resources, he outlines an approach that you can use with your teams to identify your competitive assets and focus on actions that drive momentum in your businesses.

I know there's a lot of competing priorities as we transition to summer. Know we are here for you, and that each of you is key to what makes our chapter strong. Hope to see everyone in July!

Best,

Teri

P.S. Looking for that magic wand!
