Hi everyone,
Happy New Year! How fun to welcome Sofia to our chapter and to now declare that Lan, Sunitha, and Heather are no longer newbies! I admire how each of you jumped right in and added value from the get-go. We are happy to have your perspectives and personalities in our ever-evolving group!
We had an interesting discussion tonight about themes to guide us in 2026. The key take-away was around developing and sharing (1) clarity of intention for our businesses - revenue growth, margin growth, impact, and/or legacy, and (2) personal leadership focus - we all have personal leadership growth goals that are highly relevant and worth sharing. While our individual goals may differ, what brings us together is our desire for challenge, growth, balance, and meaning.
We also talked about how we all play a role in bringing strategic issues to the group - both for our own growth but also for others. We recognize that sometimes what might seem like a tactical issue, can (and should be) reframed as a larger opportunity - so it's not either/or. We started to practice this in our deep dive discussion tonight about talent strategy.
Lastly, I appreciated the inputs and help in planning our February retreat. A small group (Joyce, Molly, Juliana, Christina, me) are working to recruit panelists for a discussion around Scaling Your Business. Krista (and Katrina) are developing ideas for a dance session. Molly and I are working with Gila on the Vision Workshop. And I'll design the Tuesday reflections and planning session. This truly is OUR retreat and I appreciate how you are helping to shape it. Thank you.
