- "I can see there are several emotions and opinions wanting to be expressed at once. Personally, I am unable to take it all in at the same time. Let’s take a breath, write down one or two things you most would like to have heard about this issue. Then we will take them on one at a time.”
- "I'm having a reaction to this - and wonder if others are too. Let's take a minute to pause, check in with ourselves, and remember how much we care for each other."
- "First check myself as facilitator - CC as barometer. Awareness of body language and how that influences the flow of energy in the room—eye contact, writing things down, leaning in, leaning back etc. Can ask the group to check their body and identify where they are feeling the conversation."
- "My Intuition to prioritize human needs over clock-watching often creates the most meaningful and productive sessions. The best facilitators know when to hold structure and when to let it breathe."
