Town Hall Update Highlight Summary:

• Organizational Growth & Retention
  • We are seeing fewer chapters with fewer than 10 members and stronger retention this year, reflecting the work of our Region Leads and Chapter Chairs.
  • Chapter growth continues, with additional recruiting events, regional events and chapter launches planned in the US, Canada, and globally for the remainder of 2026.
• Board Nominations
  • Board nominations remain under review following a record 72 applications. Please reassure members who applied that the process is still moving forward.
• Staff Roles & Responsibilities
  • Internal role transitions became official on September 1:
    • Tomi Jane — Member Experience Lead
    • Melissa — Chapter Chair Operations Lead
    • Carly — Membership Operations Manager
• Chapter Chair Resources & Training
  • The new Chapter Chair Knowledge Hub is available in Google Drive, housing all documents, videos and resources for Chapter Chairs.
  • We held 3 New CC Orientations in 2026, with our first international CC Orientation in Portugal in September. The next orientation is January 2027 in Orlando.
• WPO Fall 2026 Programming
  • Canada Connect: Our first Canadian conference will take place October 7–8, 2026, in Alberta, celebrating WPO Canada’s 25th anniversary.
  • Entrepreneurial Women of Impact: Sponsored by JPMorgan Chase, this North American award recognizes women of color for their achievements in business and their communities. The event will take place October 21 in the DC area, celebrating 24 honorees.
• 2027 Entrepreneurial Excellence Forum (EEF)
  • The annual forum will take place May 12–14, 2027, in the Palm Springs area. The hotel is in Indian Wells, and Palm Springs is the closest airport.
  • *Please hold off on booking flights and hotels for Chapter Chairs. We will send a logistics memo inviting you to do so with explicit details.
    • May 11: Pre-programming. Chapter Chair training details will follow.
    • May 12–13: Two full days of content, ending with a party on Thursday night.
    • May 14: Additional activities may be offered, so please hold off on planning a Thursday night departure.
  • We will celebrate WPO’s 30th anniversary, with pearls featured in anniversary marketing. Please share any member connections who make pearls or pearl jewelry with Kirsten.
