Upcoming Meeting on July 9th - Business Development and Sales
July 1, 2026 10:53 PM
Hi everyone,
Here are the agenda and logistics for our chapter meeting next week. We have a fantastic session planned, with special guest and WPO member, Caryn Kopp, Chief Door Opener of Kopp Consulting, LLC. Caryn's bio is attached.
There has been considerable interest amongst chapter members for sales training, targeted both at the CEO level, and for key staff members. When I met Caryn's team member at the EEF conference, and subsequently met Caryn, I was intrigued by both her expertise in sales and business development, and also her company which provides outsourced business development solutions for a range of growing companies. Caryn has graciously agreed to join us by Zoom for a 90 minute session. We'll focus on understanding key elements of a strategic growth strategy, roles of the CEO and staff, how business development and sales differ from marketing and other disciplines, and perhaps even "removing head trash" that may get in the way of implementing an effective sales strategy.
This will be an interactive session with additional time for Q&A. We'll discuss:
* How what's working in sales has changed, and how you can flip old scripts and take your game to a new level
* How to keep the top of your sales funnel full of "the right" opportunities
* Why your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) may be killing your sales results
* The three sentence sales message that can render your competition irrelevant
* Data from a 1200 prospect meeting dataset and what it took to get these meetings
It's a lot to cover in a short session. You can learn more by checking out Caryn's book: "Biz Dev Done Right: Demystifying the Sales Process and Achieving the Results You Want" which is available on Amazon and Audible.
Agenda:
4:00 Arrivals
4:15-5:45 Workshop with Caryn Kopp
6:00-7:00 Team dinner and discussion
Logistics:
We will meet live and have time after the workshop for dinner and discussion amongst our chapter. Please RSVP to the calendar invite so we can plan according. If you'd like to join by Zoom, please let me know.
