Speakers and resources re: business exits

Hello Chapter Chairs,


We are in the early stages of planning a chapter retreat in Feb 2025 and I am looking for recommendations of speakers and/or other resources on the topic of business exits - lessons learned, what businesses can do now to prepare for an exit later, how to engage a broker, managing the transition process, etc. All suggestions welcome! Happy to share our agenda as this comes together.

Teri, I'm putting together a LinkedIn LIVE on business exits. Glad to introduce you to my resources. Where are you planning a retreat? I just held a day retreat at The Garden of the Gods Resort in Colorado Springs and it was fantastic.

I did an awareness event last year for WPO and called "She Built It" and had a panel comprising 4 women (WPO members except for 1) who had all exited, from different industries. In retrospect I would cap it to 2-3 panelists but the discussion was really helpful and of interest. Definitely find hearing from the women and their experiences was helpful and of interest.
