Strategic Planning Session for 2024 for St John’s NL II WPO Chapter

A Chapter Strategic Planning session was facilitated with the chapter members. The following is a summary of the discussions and decisions by the members for 2024.

Chapter Vision

To create a shared space that brings out the wisdom of the group, to transform business and individual success, and to create meetings that are too valuable to miss. For the members to function with grace and compassion creating a safe, no judgement culture and be partners on the entrepreneurial journey.

Chapter meetings will be the second Wednesday of each month 9:00am to 1:00pm at Telelink offices. If Cindy is away then at BDC offices Atlantic Place. Laurie will order a light lunch from Hungry Café for each meeting. 

Plans for Harvard Program to be discussed once all members have had an opportunity to review member materials. The plan is to bring this material into monthly meetings as much as possible

Chapter Retreat Plans

We will plan a chapter retreat for October 8&9, 2024 at Fishers Loft. An optional day will be added to Oct 10 by choice.

Retreat l;earning will focus on personal development and replenishing ourselves. Plan is to use the expertise from members in the chapter- June, Gill, Shannon.

 

Chapter Speakers

Twice a year during meeting time – the chapter will invite a speaker to share- once at the chapter retreat

 

Selection of speakers and timing will be organic based on member needs.

 

AI- Cindy has a staff member, Robin, who can present on this topic on April 10 meeting. Members to bring laptops.

 

Cyber Security- Michelle Simms will connet with Bill Malone from Verafin to speak on this topic Q2 2024
