About the Role:
We’re looking for a Fractional COO who is not only a visionary thinker, but also a hands-on doer — someone who can take a great idea and make it real. You’ll help us refine systems, implement smarter processes, and use AI and automation to drive better decisions and stronger results.
This role is perfect for someone who loves building structure out of chaos, thrives on execution, and has the leadership skills to inspire a team to follow through.
What You’ll Do:
Turn strategy into action — design and implement operational systems that actually work.
Modernize our processes using AI, data, and automation to boost efficiency.
Lead by example — motivate and guide teams across all business units.
Translate big-picture goals into clear, measurable steps.
Build alignment between ownership, managers, and staff.
Ensure operations are efficient, profitable, and sustainable.
Support our land conservation mission through smart business practices.
Identify opportunities for improvement and follow through to completion.
What You Bring:
A doer’s mindset — you execute, not just advise.
Strong background in multi-unit operations (real estate, rentals, storage, or similar).
Practical experience using AI or automation tools to improve workflows.
Excellent communication and leadership skills — clear, calm, and collaborative.
Proven ability to implement systems and hold teams accountable.
A passion for progressive values, sustainability, and community impact.
Financial acumen and comfort working closely with ownership to meet growth targets.
