Follow-up from May, and Upcoming Events!

Hi everyone,
As always, it was great to be together for our May Meeting. A big thanks to Katie and Christina for bringing such rich topics to the table for discussion, and for everyone for the great questions and insights you shared.
I'm excited to share that we've secured a terrific speaker for our August Summer Retreat who will lead a workshop focused on building our personal brands. This was one of the topics that we prioritized during our February retreat, and voila! I then met Yamilca Rodriguez at the WPO conference. Yamilca recently released her book "Brand Therapist" (available on Amazon) and draws from expertise in psychology and brand management to help executives build personal brands. She also leads a WPO chapter in Lexington. Krista will host our summer retreat at her home in Orinda on August 14th. We'll begin with lunch at 12:30 and go through the afternoon. The workshop will be approximately 1:30-3:30 pm. Please be sure to block the afternoon on your calendars!
Second, please let me know if you have colleagues (from non-competing businesses) that you would like to invite to join WPO and our chapter. We have several openings. I'd be happy to spend time sharing more about WPO and seeing if they could be a fit for our chapter. Our summer retreat could be a great introduction for qualified new members interested in joining WPO.
Lastly, Allison Tabor and Comerica Bank are planning a regional event for WPO on Tuesday 10/28 that will be held at Bishop Wisecarver in Pittsburg CA. Some of you may know Pamela Kan, CEO of Bishop Wisecarver. She will offer optional pre-event tours of her manufacturing facility. This is also a networking event for potential new members.
See you in June.
Best,
Teri
